Meningitis Now United FC

Meningitis Now United FC has been borne from a desire to raise awareness of meningitis and septicemia due to a relative currently suffering from the after effects of the disease.
PSL Soccer Leagues have teamed up with Meningitis Now and they have kindly supported us and helped set up Meningitis Now United FC.
We are aiming to raise money and awareness through football.
Fixture One

Opponents : Angel Inn FC
Kick Off : 1.00pm
MNUFC 1 - 5 Angel Inn

1st July 2018

Prairie Sports Village

Kick Off : 1pm

Angel Inn played the better football initially and took the lead through a brilliant 20 yard strike but as time went on MNUFC grew into the game and equalised through a Kori Fox opportunist goal.

Both teams had chances but it was Angel Inn who retook the lead mid-way through the second half and in what was a tight game played in sweltering conditions Angel Inn grabbed another three goals in the final ten minutes as MNUFC tired.

Angel Inn were a very good side with bags of experience and quality all through the team and a great test in the start to our fixtures.

Both Gregg Hodson and Declan Heavican were exceptional in midfield but the MOM award was awarded to scorer Kori Fox who linked up with fellow forward Conor Hodson intelligently.
